The Programs Behind the Gold
Every world title has two names on it: the bull's, in lights — and the partnership that bred, bought, hauled, and managed him, in smaller print. Map all 32 championships to their programs and the sport's real dynasties emerge: names that keep showing up behind different bulls, decade after decade.
A world title officially belongs to a bull. But no bull hauls himself to forty events a year, and in The Old Masters we showed that the typical champion wins at an age most careers never even reach — which makes every title as much a husbandry achievement as an athletic one. So here's the full ledger: every World Champion Bull since 1995, and the program listed behind him.

Programs are the ownership listings in the PBR data as of this article's sync date. Partnerships evolve and listings reflect the current record, not necessarily every party involved in a title season — corrections from the programs themselves are always welcome at contact@worldchampionbull.com.
One listing, two champions: Herrington
Measured by exact listings, only one program in the record has titles from two different bulls: Herrington Cattle Co., with Moody Blues in 1998 and Dillinger's back-to-back in 2000–2001. Every other multi-title listing on the table got there the way dynasties usually do — one generational bull, defended.
But read the names, not the listings
Partnership strings change; the surnames inside them don't. Trace the names through the table and the sport's real title networks appear:
Teague appears in the winning partnership for 7 titles across 4 different bulls — Little Yellow Jacket, Big Bucks, Mossy Oak Mudslinger, and Bones — including seven of the nine championships from 2002 through 2010. Berger also threads through 7 titles and 4 bulls, from Little Yellow Jacket in 2002 to Smooth Operator in 2020, with Struve alongside for four of them. And D&H runs from Long John in 2015 through Bruiser's three-peat to Ransom, the reigning champion — 5 titles, 3 different bulls, and the only name active at the top across both of the last two decades.
That's the quiet truth of the championship: bulls win it once or thrice, but a handful of breeding and hauling operations keep producing the animals that contend for it, generation after generation. The gold buckle changes horns. The names in the small print repeat.
And the door is still open
The counterpoint keeps the story honest: the five seasons from 2021 through 2025 were won behind three names that appear nowhere earlier on the list — Barker Bulls / Hookin' W Ranch with Woopaa, Bill McCarty / McCoy Rodeo with Ridin' Solo, and Jane Clark / Gene Owen with Man Hater's repeat. The networks are real, but they aren't a wall. Somewhere on the contractor directory right now is a program hauling a three-year-old nobody's heard of yet, and this table has a row waiting for them.
